Dancing Sushi!
Sharing highlights this morning, a number of students emphatically raved about watching "Dancing Sushi". It's a silly animated series on Nicktoons that we watched a couple clips of while wrapping up making our sushi arrays. If you can brace yourself for neon flashing characters and high pitched decibels, enjoy the show! Links below-

Weekly Highlights 4/20/12
And the weeks just keep zipping by. It's hard to fathom that there are only seven weeks of school left and that your child will be a third grader. Moms, please keep May 4th at 12 noon open for our annual Mother's Day Luncheon in room seven. This is an event that you do not want to miss. Also, we are looking for parents to help bring in pot stickers, sushi, and fortune cookies for our flight to the Orient on May 18th.
We are enjoying receiving the Flat Stanleys from all over the country. Texas Stanley arrived in the mail the other day with his ten gallon cowboy hat, boots and spurs. In math, we covered a unit on probability and odds. We continue moving up with our multiplication. And in Social Studies, we are learning about just how rough our pioneers had it coming out on the Oregon Trail. They were true heroes.
Ivan - I liked the creative writing piece on my favorite person, P.E., watching, The Adventures of a Cardboard Box and the Mardi Gras/Fat Tuesday video. I also liked making clay pots in Mrs. Switkes' class.
