Weekly Highlights 12/2/11 Mrs. Barulich

Another amazing week was had by 2A and 2B. We've been practicing our songs for Santa Lucia, working with congruent shapes in math, learning about the importance of having a home fire drill in reading groups and in core, we learned that our patriots were so determined to keep the makings of the U.S. Constitution private that they nailed the shutters tight so no word would leak out about its contents. Imagine, a humid east coast summer, indoors with no air conditioning?

Liam - I liked the 3D Dinosaur movie at the Lawrence Hall of Science, when the rhino brushed his tusk in the weeping pond in My Father's Dragon and reading, The Spirit of Christmas.

Aidan - I really liked the Lawrence Hall of Science field trip, especially pushing the orange pegs, making my Peace book and My Father's Dragon.

Kenna - I liked the field trip a lot! I liked the static machine and making the slime. I also liked music and practicing our songs for Santa Lucia.

Vicki - I liked the giant dinosaur outside of the Lawrence Hall of Science. He was huge! I also liked making the slime. Making congruent shapes with our geoboards in math this week was a lot of fun.

Stefan - I liked the 3D Dinosaur movie and the sound machine at the Lawrence Hall of Science. I also liked P.E. and reading, Rocking Horse Christmas.

Nathan - I liked working on my Peace book, cutting out our hands for the Core Virtue board in the M.U.R. and the air cannon at the Lawrence Hall of Science was really cool!

Renee - I liked making the slime and the air machine that made my hair wild at the Lawrence Hall of Science. I also liked working on my Peace book and making our gingerbread virtue kids. I am also very happy to have free dress today for our Maple House win!

Madeline - I liked the giant dinosaur at the Lawrence Hall of Science, writing out my Weekend News about ice skating with Renee and working on my Peace book.

Ivan - I liked looking through the telescope at the Lawrence Hall of Science. Fraction math in computers was a lot of fun. Mrs. Barulich taught us that three ninths of the school year is over and that three ninths of the school year can be reduced down to one third. School's been a lot of fun so far!

Rohan - I liked making the slime at the Lawrence Hall of Science, working on my Peace book and My Father's Dragon is so good! The boars are so funny investigating an invasion in that story!

Oliver - I really liked the field trip to the Lawrence Hall of Science, all of it! I also liked reading My Father's Dragon in class, the mouse that says words backwards is so funny, tracing our hands and making the gingerbread boys for the virtue board was fun too!
